POTTSTOWN — K&T Emporium has announced that packaging issues from a limited shipment of Righteous Felon Beef Jerky products may lead to the growth of mold due to oxygen entering the contents of the packages.

Consumers are asked to return Righteous Felon products purchased from K&T Emporium, 10 S. Hanover St., for a full refund or to discard them.

The product was sold in a variety of packaging formats to consumers from March 28 to June 23.

The following products that were sold at K&T Emporium may be affected:

• Victorious B.I.G.

• Bourbon Franklin

• Voodoo Chile

• Truffle-O Soldier

• Maryland Monroe

• Baby Blues BBQ

• Habanero Escobar

• OG Hickory

“Consumer safety is our company’s top priority,” said Trevor Waldspurger, co-owner of K&T Emporium. “We are working closely with Righteous Felon on this matter and ensure that all of our consumers’ safety is at the top of our priorities.”

Righteous Felon has not issued an official recall of any of its products and is investigating the contents of the shipment that was provided to K&T Emporium to ensure this issue is resolved. Consumers should not be alarmed as a company-wide issue as this has been limited to the shipment sent to K&T Emporium.

“We take this situation seriously. We will take aggressive steps to prevent this from happening again,” said Waldspurger. “When consuming any product, we urge consumers to closely inspect the packaging and if any defects to the packaging or security, freshness seals, are present, that you do not consume the product and return it to the place of purchase.”
