Much of southeastern South Dakota is expected to see the potential for strong to severe storms Friday night, according to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.

The greatest risk of storms will be from about midnight into 6 a.m. Saturday, with the greatest risks expected to be large hail and strong wind gusts, the NWS stated on its website.

A tornado or two could also be possible, especially in north central and northeastern South Dakota, the website states.
