FISK (WLUK) -- A Northeast Wisconsin small community's Fourth of July fireworks display is in jeopardy.
Organizers of the village of Fisk's “Fire in the Sky” fireworks says fundraising efforts are underway and they're getting down to the wire.
Each year, the village puts on a fireworks display fully funded through the generosity of attendees and visitors. But this year, due to unfortunate circumstances, the people who organize fundraising efforts have faced many obstacles.
Officials say they need at least $10,000 to cover the cost of the fireworks display.
Organizers say the fireworks display is like the Field of Dreams of fireworks shows. The fireworks are held in the rural town and people show up and park in the fields and on the side of the road with blankets and lawn chairs. Everyone who helps put it on is a volunteer.
