BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Police Department was alerted to a possible case of stalking and initiated an investigation which led to the arrest of Christopher Vincent Carter, 20, of Baton Rouge.

The investigation centered around alleged incidents that took place around the end of April.

A member of the LSU Police Department spoke with the alleged victim in this case on May 2.

The victim went into detail about how her ex-boyfriend “contacted her multiple times from a blocked phone number,” according to the affidavit.

The victim claimed that Carter called her on eight separate occasions.

While LSUPD was interviewing the victim, “she received multiple calls which indicated “NO CALLER ID.”

The phone was answered on one occasion and the caller was identified as Christopher Carter by the victim.

The victim said that Carter had “physically held her against her will and stalked her,” according to the affidavit.

The unidentified victim referenced one incident that allegedly took place in the Nicholson Gateway Parking Lot.

During that incident, Carter allegedly prevented the victim from leaving the vehicle they were in by locking the doors and grabbing her by the wrist.

Carter allegedly told the victim, “you better not be telling people I abuse you,” according to the affidavit.

The victim further documented one instance where Carter apparently showed up and described what the victim was wearing and where she was located at that time.

The 20-year-old was questioned about these allegations and denied participating in battery or false imprisonment of the victim.

Carter was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Thursday, June 23, and charged with False Imprisonment, Telephone Communications Improper, Language Harassment, Stalking and Battery of a Dating Partner.
