Come and join the Clayton County Conservation Board and the Iowa Prairie Network for a saunter on the reconstructed prairie at the Becker East Wildlife Area!
We’ll explore the new cast of plant characters, search for the endangered rusty patched bumblebee, and discuss the US Fish & Wildlife Service’s interest in the site as well as the reconstruction process.
The wildlife area has no developed trails, so participants should come with sturdy shoes, long pants, and water for a moderate hike.
The Becker East Wildlife Area is approximately 7 miles south of Guttenberg, across Hwy 52 from Millville. Please call the Osborne Nature Center at 563-245-1516 for more information.
