UPDATE:
The Harvard Police Department says Amia and Maverick Stith have been found safe in Kentucky.
The suspect, Michael Walton, was taken into custody.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, "the two Harvard youths and the individual that accompanied them turned themselves in to the Cynthiana, Kentucky Police Department unharmed," the Harvard Police Department said in a news release.
Walton, 22, is charged with one count of child obduction and is awaiting extradition.

An endangered missing person advisory has been issued for a young Illinois mother and her infant son.
Illinois State Police and the Harvard Police Department are trying to locate Amia J. Stith, 16, and Maverick C. Stith, 5 months old.
Amia and her son were last seen being picked up Wednesday afternoon by a man near the Harvard Diggins Library.
Police say they are traveling in a 2008 Black Buick Lacern with Indiana Registration TNM581.
They are believed to be in the company of 22-year-old Michael Walton.
Police say they may be in Kentucky.
Amia is described as a 16-year-old white female who is 5 foot 4 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.
She has black hair and brown eyes and is wearing a black baseball cap with a rainbow flag, a black v-neck t-shirt with foil flowers, black shorts, and black socks.
Amia has a tattoo of a moon and stars on her thigh.
Maverick is just 5 months old and weighs 15 pounds.
Michael A. Walton is 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
Their last known location was in Jeffersontown, Kentucky at 3:53 am on June 23.
