(June 24, 2022 12:08 PM) Jackson Public Schools announced on Friday that Antonio Parker will be the new head football coach at the school.

Parker replaces Scott Farley who was hired to be the athletic director at Western High School.

Parker has served as an assistant coach for 18 years and has served in a number of capacities at the school.

He served as the Vikings’ defensive coordinator for the last five seasons.

“I am excited to get to work and to continue to take Jackson football and Jackson Public Schools to new heights,” Parker said in a press release.

Supt. Jeff Beal said he is excited about the hire.

“I believe in his connection to our students, ability to develop our young players into great men, and his vision for our program moving forward,” Beal said. “I think it is going to be a very exciting year.”
