A man who was shot and drove himself to the hospital has identified the man who allegedly shot him, according to the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say the victim, Xavier Sequan Gamble, 21, stated he had been shot several times near the area of Irongate Road and Forrest Lake Drive in the Manning area.
Officials say as Gamble recovered at Prisma Health, an investigation continued and determined that he was shot with a "small-caliber weapon."
Upon his release from the hospital, Gamble was re-interviewed, and he identified the suspect who shot him as Laquan Levan Gilliam, 22.
Officials say Gamble and Gilliam were acquaintances.
Gilliam was arrested on June 23 and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
