A two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler, took place around 4:00pm Thursday on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre. The collision was at the intersection of Jacksonville Street just down from People’s Bank.
According to the accident report a 19 year old female from Centre, who was driving a 2008 Dodge, was transported to Floyd/Cherokee Medical Center for treatment while the driver of that 1995 Peterbilt, a 54 year old male out of Cottendale, Alabama, was unhurt. No additional information regarding the extent of the woman’s injuries was available Centre police and firefighters along with Floyd EMS units responded to the scene.
That wreck remains under investigation by the Centre PD.
