The public is invited to participate in a city-wide survey on Stevens Point’s parks.
In preparation for updating the city’s Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP), Parks Director Dan Kremer is seeking input from the community.
The CORP will serve as a guide to continual improvement of the city’s parks, park facilities, open spaces, and trails, Kremer said. The plan is also a requirement if the city wants to remain eligible for various state and federal grants.
A public input meeting has also been scheduled for Thursday, July 7. The in-person meeting will provide all attendees a chance to have “more dialogue and to provide more feedback than what the survey may have allowed,” a news release from Kremer said.
The input session will be held at 6 p.m. on July 7 at the Rec Center, 2442 Sims Ave.
The survey will remain open through July 15 and is available by clicking here.
