Thursday's local summer baseball roundup: Dutton, Adamson propel Leominster past North County

Leominster 4, North County 3: Sean Dutton went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run, while Dylan Adamson smacked two hits to lift host Leominster (6-4).

Nico Martinez was 2 for 3 with two runs for North County (3-4). 

Hudson 2, Northborough 1: Jason Jakobsons allowed a run on two hits and struck out five in a complete-game effort and went 3 for 3 with an RBI at the plate to lead visiting Hudson (7-4) past Northborough (2-6).

Andrew Carlson tripled and drove in a run for Northborough.

Shrewsbury 4, Main South 0: Alexander Martin allowed five hits and a walk while striking out seven in a complete-game effort as host Shrewsbury (7-0) shut out Main South (2-6). Shrewsbury's Ryan Walton, Zachary Amero, James Railsback and Patrick McManus all went 2 for 3.

Ryan Flanagan doubled for Main South.

Douglas 5, Millbury 3: Eric Sanderson allowed two unearned runs and struck out 13 over 5-2/3 innings, Colin Loerh went 2 for 3 and Griffin Berard hit an RBI triple as host Douglas (8-2) edged Millbury (3-7).

Jacob Merrill recorded an RBI single and a run for Millbury.

Futures Collegiate League

Norwich 10, Bravehearts 0: Jake Marquez and David Pedanou each had a hit as the Bravehearts (12-11) were shutout at Hanover Insurance Park.
