Michigan City Messiah performs ‘A Sacred Journey’ on June 26

MICHIGAN CITY — Michigan City Messiah performs its spring concert at 3:30 p.m. CDT June 26 at St. Mary the Immaculate Conception, 411 W. 11th. St.

Titled “A Sacred Journey,” the program includes works by Gibbons, MonteVerdi, and Palastrina from the Renaissance period; Bach from the Baroque period; Haydn and Faure from the Classical and Romantic periods; and a contemporary piece by Tichelli, “Let There be Rest.”

Soloists on Faure’s Requiem will be Kim Jones and Bill Murray.

Philip J. Bauman directs, with accompaniment by Pat Lee.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
