TODAY FROM SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, INVESTIGATING FATAL SHOOTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT. 41-YEAR-OLD TREVOR SANDERS WAS KILLED AROUND 10:30 IN THE MORNING. The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that happened in LaPlace on Wednesday. Detectives say the shooting killed Trevor Sanders, 41, of LaPlace. On Wednesday around 10:30 a.m., deputies said they responded to the 1500 block of Natchez Lane in LaPlace in reference to a man lying on the ground unresponsive.Sanders had been shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office. No motive is known at this time.Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office TIPS line at 985-359-TIPS, Det.
