KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Friday morning, Michigan State Police said.
It happened just before 7 a.m. when a semi-truck driving westbound on the I-94 business loop hit a motorcyclist traveling southbound on Sprinkle Road.
The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old Three Rivers man, died at the scene, MSP troopers said. He was wearing a helmet.
The semi-truck driver, a 35-year-old man from Sparta, was uninjured.
The roadway was reported back open at 11:07 a.m. by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, MSP said.
