Local Foods will officially open June 25. The Houston-based restaurant held a soft opening for its first Austin location, 454 W. Second St. Austin, in mid-June. Previously, it had help pop-ups and offered limited pickup options in Austin.

The menu features fresh food from local farmers and purveyors, including items such as the Crunchy Chicken Sandwich with oven roasted chicken breast, nut-seed crumble, crushed chips, tomato, pickles, romaine lettuce, provolone and buttermilk ranch on a Slow Dough pretzel bun; the Oyster Mushroom Po’ Boy; and the Truffled Egg Salad Sandwich.

It will be open daily from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. with plans to expand brunch hours and add an early morning pickup window. Two-hour complimentary parking is available in the 2nd Street District AMLI garage 211 San Antonio St., Austin, before 5 p.m. weekdays. The restaurant is two stories and has a patio.
