The following weekly COVID report for Brown County was issued Thursday evening, June 23.
In the last seven days, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 45 positive COVID-19 test results. Of the 45 positives this week, 6 were PCR, and 39 were antigen. Of the total number of cases reported this week, 21 cases met the breakthrough definition. This includes asymptomatic, mild symptoms, and severe symptom breakthrough cases.
There are 0 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19.
No new deaths have been reported this week.
The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering COVID testing at their clinic located at 510 E. Lee Street. Testing is by appointment only. If you need to be tested for COVID, please do not walk into the clinic. Testing will be conducted at your vehicle in the parking lot. The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to all youth ages 5 years or older and adults ages 18 years old or older. Vaccination boosters are also available. If a case is not considered infectious, it will not be included in the active case count number.
