A Steele man was arrested after he allegedly shot into an occupied vehicle. Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield says the incident happened on Tuesday night at North First Street Apartments.

After authorities executed a search warrant, 29 year old Jordan D. Johnson was arrested on charges of first degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. Stanfield reports officers seized a pistol, purported marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and several pills during the search of Johnson’s apartment.

Johnson’s arraignment in Pemiscot County is Monday morning before Judge William Carter. He’s held with no bond in the PCJC.
