CONTINUE THEIR INVESTIGATION. ASHLEY? ASHLEY: POLICE SAID THERE WAS A SMALL VERBAL FIGHT INSIDE OF THE PUB, AND A SHORT TIME LATER SHOTS WERE FIRED OUTSIDE. ONE OF THE BULLETS HIT THE VICTIM, SAMANTHA HARDEN. SHE DIED ON SCENE. >> OUR CALL WAS A SHOTS FIRED CALL. WE REVEALED THAT THERE WAS FIVE SHOTS INTO THE BUILDING, AND ONE SHOT WAS INTO OUR VICTIM. ASHLEY: LIEUTENANT THOMAS KOLENCIK SAYS IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER 10:00 WHEN OFFICERS P.M. ARRIVED AT MCPATTON’S PUB ON NORTH GALLATIN AVENUE. NEIGHBORS COULD HEAR THE COMMOTION FROM INSIDE THEIR HOMES. >> I HEARD THE GUNSHOTS GOING OFF, AND THAT’S ALL I HEARD. IT SCARED ME. I COME TO THE DOOR, I LOOKED OUT THE DOOR RIGHT HERE. ASHLEY SAMANTHA HARDEN FROM : UNIONTOWN WAS FOUND SHOT IN FRONT OF THE PUB, BUT POLICE SAY IT’S UNCLEAR EXACTLY WHAT LED TO THE SHOOTING. >> IT WASN’T VERY CROWDED AND A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST WEREN’T PAYING ATTENTION. IT WASN’T A BIG FIGHT. IT WAS A SMALL ARGUMENT, AND WE DON’T EVEN KNOW IF THAT IS RELATED TO THE HOMICIDE. I THINK THIS IS AN ISOLATED TO THE ARGUMENT, AS A RESULT OF THE ARGUMENT, IN SOME CASES NOT EVEN INTENTIONAL. MAYBE A SCARE TACTIC THAT RESULTED IN SOMEONE THAT IS INJURED, OR IN THIS CASE, DECEASED. ASHLEY: INVESTIGATORS SPENT HOURS COLLECTING EVIDENCE OUTSIDE OF MCPATTON’S. POLICE SAY THEY WILL GO BACK OUT TODAY. >> EMOTIONS WERE HIGH. ALCOHOL IS INVOLVED. SO, ONCE THE SMOKE CLEARS A LITTLE BIT WE WANT TO GO BACK, RE-INTERVIEW SOME PEOPLE, TRY TO GET BETTER VIDEO, TRY TO GET MORE VIDEO, AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN MAKE AN ARREST. A woman is dead after a shooting late Thursday night at a bar in Uniontown, Fayette County. Police responded to McPatton's Pub on North Gallatin Avenue around 10:30 p.m.Officers on scene found the victim, 34-year-old Samantha Harden, of Uniontown, on the road. “Our call was a shots fired call. We revealed that there was five shots into the building, and one shot was into our victim,” Lt. Thomas Kolencik of the Uniontown Police Department said. Neighbors could hear the commotion from inside their homes.“I heard the gunshots going off, and that's all I heard, it scared me-- I came to the door, and looked out the door right here,” Paul Workman said. Kolencik says there was a small verbal altercation inside the pub and a short time later, shots rang out. “It wasn't very crowded, and a lot of people just weren't paying attention. It wasn't a big fight. It was a small argument, and we don't even know if that is related to the homicide,” Lt. Kolencik said. At this time, police do not have any suspects. Investigators spent hours in the area collecting evidence and talking to witnesses. The Uniontown Police Department continues to investigate with the assistance of state police.“Emotions were high, alcohol is involved, so once the smoke clears a little bit, we will go back. Re-interview some people, try to get some better video, try to get some more video, and hopefully we can make an arrest,” Lt. Kolencik said.
