It was a Friday afternoon in May 2022 in Federal Hill.
People were returning home from work and businesses were preparing for what was likely going to be a busy weekend.
Suddenly, the sound of gunfire erupts from the Sweet Peaz Restaurant on south Charles Street.
The Baltimore Police Department is called to the scene.
Inside, investigators say officers found a teen shot in the chest. He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
At the scene, investigators say the owner of the restaurant told police it was her ex-husband who shot her teen son.
Investigators identified the suspect as Victor Shuron, 45, of Baltimore.
Shuron has been on the run ever since and now the US Marshals Service has joined the search for him.
"I think it speaks volumes the fact that you would shoot your own stepson," said Tony Gause, senior inspector with the US Marshals Service.
Gause detailed Shuron was asked to meet his ex-wife at the restaurant and when he arrived got into a verbal argument with her teen son, who worked at the restaurant.
According to Gause the argument turned into a physical fight d at one point the teen waived a knife at Shuron, who then left the building to retrieve a firearm, returned and then shot the teen in the chest.
Shuron fled and hasn't been seen since.
"We believe he’s still in Maryland, possibly Virginia or PA," said Gause. "We do have some information that he may have even fled down to North Carolina."
Shuron is described as standing at approximately 5'7" and weighing approximately 200 lbs.
A reward of up to $1500 is being offered for providing information into his whereabouts.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the US Marshals Tipline at 1-877-WANTED-2 or contact Gause directly at (202) 427-0183.
