RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (WV News) — The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced appointees who will serve on the West Virginia USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) state committee, including Jackson County native Kenneth “Mike” Comer.

Comer, a graduate of Parkersburg Community College and Marshall University, has served 37 years in the West Virginia state government, including 25 years as a West Virginia State Police trooper and 10 years with the West Virginia State Treasury. He is passionate about local agriculture and operates a small market farm in Ravenswood, specializing in greenhouse vegetable production and beekeeping.
