Search crews near Weiser find drowning victim

WEISER, Idaho —
The Washington County Sheriff's Office announced the drowning victim who went missing on the Snake River was located Saturday near Catfish Junction.

The man was identified as 50-year-old Bernardo Garcia Jr. from Beaverton, Oregon. Sheriff Matt Thomas said his family has been notified.
Garcia Jr. went missing Wednesday evening about 4 miles west of Weiser in the Snake River.
According to the sheriff's office, crews were searching with drones, from the water.

They say high river flows and high temperatures have made the search difficult.
