Jeremy Stoppelman, Co-founder and CEO of the business review site wrote in a blog post announcing the future of work at Yelp is remote. During the pandemic, the company learned to effectively operate the business remotely with employees thriving and being productive while working from home, the post said.

"Employees are mre satisfied working remotely as they can spend precious time they would have otherwise spent commuting doing the things they love with the people who mean the most to them," Stoppelman said in the blog post.

As the company shifts into a fully remote workplace it will close offices in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Chicago and will "reduce our footprint" at the Phoenix office. "Combined, the three offices we're closing saw a weekly average utilization of less than 2% of the available workspaces," according to the blog post.

The company sent out a survey to all employees and found that 86% of respondents prefer working remotely, 87% said working remotely makes them more effective during work and 93% said their managers report they can meet their goals by working at home, the post said.

In September of 2021 Yelp announced that the San Francisco office was moving to 350 Mission Street in the SoMa district, according to a blog post. They planned to welcome employees who chose to access the office at the beginning of 2022.
