Brush fire east of Livermore grows to 552 acres; 50 percent contained

LIVERMORE -- The TeslaInc Fire burning in the eastern foothills of Livermore between Alameda and San Joaquin counties grew to 552 acres as of early Friday morning and was 50 percent contained.

The brush fire began late Thursday afternoon in the area of Tesla and Corral Hollow roads in eastern Livermore.

Cal Fire said firefighters were strengthening containment lines and working towards full containment.

There were no damages to structures or injuries reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
