Walmart announced plans to invest $54.7 million in Virginia this year to update and remodel 12 stores.

One of those stores includes our very own Walmart Super Center on Old Forest Road.

The Walmart in Roanoke on Plantation Road is also one of the stores to be renovated.

When complete, many of the remodeled stores will offer pick up, delivery and Express delivery, which are deliveries in under two hours.

These new conveniences will also make the Walmart+ membership program available to more customers.

Governor Glenn Youngkin also weighed in saying that investments like this send a clear signal that Virginia is open for business.
