The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to use Matisse Thybulle to acquire Eric Gordon, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Furthermore, Pompey reports the Trail Blazers are willing to acquire Thybulle straight up in a deal, but the Sixers are hoping Portland joins as a third team in a potential trade where the Sixers get Gordon from the Houston Rockets.

Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey was formerly the general manager of the Rockets, who had current Sixers guard James Harden, Gordon, and free-agent P.J. Tucker, who the Sixers are also reportedly interested in.

Gordon, 33, averages 16.4 points on 37.1-percent three-point shooting for his career.
