WYOMING – Three local students participated at Girls’ State on the campus of Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne on June 4-11.
Jaylee Bousman, Maddox Gehlhausen and Ally Moller all became delegates in the simulated local government before attendees were invited to meet government officials, community leaders, military members and others involved in the democratic process. The program creates fictional cities that students must run in accordance with Wyoming State Law.
Bousman, of Boulder, was elected City of Paintbrush Attorney, once a Senate chaplain and director of the Department of Administration and Information. She was also awarded the Laramie County Community College Scholarship.
Gehlhausen, of Pinedale, was elected City of Sagebrush Police Officer, once a court reporter and as counsel to the governor. She was named Outstanding Sagebrush City Delegate and Outstanding Court Delegate.
Moller, of Boulder, was elected City of Meadowlark Police Chief, Nationalist Party Education Platform Committee Chairman, Senate Sgt. At Arms, chair of a Senate committee and district court judge. She was also named an Outstanding Meadowlark City Delegate.
