High-speed chase through Ozark ends with an arrest

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — A man from Ozark has been arrested after a high-speed chase Wednesday afternoon.

The Ozark Police say they received a harassment call on Wednesday around 3:43 p.m.

That call involved a black Jeep trying to chase another car. After the vehicles circled the Ozark Police Department parking lot and failed to stop after the officers’ requests, a chase began.

The chase went throughout Ozark but was ended by the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, who used a maneuver to stall the vehicle.

Justin Stanford, 29, of Ozark, was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, attempting to elude, obstructing governmental operations, and possession of a controlled substance.

Stanford is currently in the Dale County Jail with no bond set.
