BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – a Velva, N.D. woman and a Minot man have been sentenced to prison for sexual exploitation of a minor in a child pornography case involving young boys.
Katie Heidinger, 33, plead guilty and received 30 years for making and sharing child pornography. Derrick Walker, 46, was found guilty in January of sexual exploitation of a minor and also receiving images. He will serve 45 years.
During Walker’s trial, Heidinger testified that while she was having an affair with Walker, he told her he was sexually interested in young boys.
Heidinger produced sexually explicit images and videos involving boys ages 1, 2, and 5, which she sent to Walker. She also created, at his request, images and videos of her sexually abusing the boys.
Heidinger’s then husband found the images and videos on her cell phone and immediately reported them to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department.
Both Heidinger and Walker will be on probation for the rest of their lives after their release.
