A Kentucky Power employee was killed in a vehicle accident while on the job Thursday in Perry County, Kentucky, company officials confirmed.

A spokesperson for Kentucky Power said the crash happened early Thursday morning in the Hazard area.
“All of us at Kentucky Power are heartbroken by this tragic news and we extend our deepest condolences to the family and to all who knew our employee,” the statement said.
