Michael Phillips at the Richmond Times Dispatch was at Wednesday’s congressional hearing, and joined BMitch and Finlay on Thursday to break down everything that was learned during the near four hours of testimony.

What stood out to Phillips was the realization that Commanders owner Dan Snyder and company have preached an improved culture around the team, but the hearing revealed that Snyder himself maybe hasn’t been walking the line since the initiative to make changes around the team.

“What we also learned was, even post-change, even post Jason Wright and Ron Rivera being hired, Dan Snyder was still doing stuff in the background that was questionable at best,” Phillips said.

“Sending private investigators to the cheerleaders’ houses, offering hush money to them to not talk to the media anymore about this. He hasn’t kept his hands clean since he was told to keep his hands clean. I think that’s ultimately going to be of concern to the NFL office.”
