Ethan Hayter (Ineos Grenadiers) defended his elite men’s title in the time trial at the British national championships on Thursday in Dumfries. His winning time of 50:52 across the 44.2km course was 1:14 better than Dan Bigham, who took the silver medal. Finishing another 17 seconds back was James Shaw (EF Education-EasyPost) in third.
