Admiral Mike Franken, a retired 3-star admiral and candidate for U.S. Senate will hold a meet and greet event on Thursday, June 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview  Park at 402 Woodland Street in Marshalltown.

Franken, a Democrat, will face off against Republican Incument Charles Grassley in the Nobember General Election.

Franken was born and raised in northwest Iowa.

He also served in the U.S. Navy where he spent nearly fur decades serving the county.
