Defenseman Kevin Czuczman was a member of the Penguins for four seasons.

Former Penguins defenseman Kevin Czuczman has signed with Ilves of Finland’s top-tier league, the Liiga.

His signing was announced via a release by the team on Thursday.

A native of London, Ont., the 31-year-old Czuczman spent parts of four seasons with the Penguins and was primarily assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, their American Hockey League affiliate, serving as an alternate captain for that team. In total, he appeared in two NHL games for the franchise, each during the 2020-21 season, and recorded no points.

During the 2021-22 season, Czuczman was a member of the Minnesota Wild organization but did not play in any NHL games for the franchise.
