Lake Barkley Partnership has announced a new 80-acre development project planned for the Eddyville Industrial Park.

The development includes constructing a new park entrance off US 62, abolishing Industrial Park Road, grading, and construction of a stormwater retention basin.

The project is funded in part through a $172,560 Opportunity Kentucky Grant from Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities Company.

Officials said the grant is a big achievement in developing the park as a premier transit site in the state. The site includes rail service through Paducah and Louiville Railroad, interstate access to both I-69 and I-24, and water access to the Eddyville Riverport.

Improvements at Eddyville Industrial Park have been continuous since 2020. Improvements consist of upgrades to the on-site sewer lift station, a new turn lane from US-62 into the industrial park, infrastructure investment for the expansion of BGB Trucking, environmental due diligence, the development of additional sites through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative, and engineering work for future park expansion.

The Eddyville Riverport and Industrial Development Authority and Lake Barkley Partnership began focusing on the industrial park in 2019 after development of a Master Plan for both the Riverport and Industrial Park.
