Pemiscot County authorities are investigating a homicide. According to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, his department received a call Wednesday night just before 7 p.m. and deputies arrived at 73 CR 415 and found 38 year old Lorinda Branch fatally shot.
32 year old Arsenio Jones, also of the residence, was arrested on charges of second degree murder and armed criminal action. Greenwell says the victim was Jones’ sister.
Jones is held in the PCJC.
The investigation continues by the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Department, the MSHP Division of Drug and Crime Control, and the Caruthersville PD.
