Lake County Commission approves development plan; taking applications for Planning Commission seat

The Lake County Commission on Tuesday approved the final Phase One Developmental Plan for Lee’s Addition.  Lee’s Addition includes the development of The Gravel Pit east of Madison for future single family residential use.  The property is owned by Lee Yager, and is being developed by Harr and Lemme Real Estate, Incorporated.  The Phase One development plan approved Tuesday includes three lots.  The lots are located on 457th Avenue, along and north of Highway 34.  Zoning Officer Mandi Anderson said that the county Highway Department has approved the request for an approach for the development.

Also on Tuesday, Anderson told commissioners that there is a vacancy on the county’s Planning Commission that will need to be filled.  She said that Mark Ferber resigned from the Planning Commission because he is moving out of state.  Anderson said that there will be an application available for any Lake County resident interested in serving on the Planning Commission.
