Man arrested for allegedly submitting fake documents to DMV

ASSUMPTION PARISH, La (BRPROUD) — A Morgan City man was arrested after submitting false documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on Wednesday.

Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the DMV and made contact with an office personnel proving that 49-year-old Edgar Suazo-Flores submitted false documents to obtain an United States identification. Deputies arrested Suazo-Flores after determining the documents were fake.

Edgar Suazo-Flores was booked in to the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of giving false information regarding lawful presence in the U.S. in order to obtain a driver’s license, injuring public records, and unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution or possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes.

Suazo-Flores remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
