Driver accused of striking police cruiser during chase in Mercer County
The chase ended after police placed spiked strips near New Wilmington, flattening two of the car’s tires.

An Ashtabula County man is being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $250,000 bond after state police say he led them on a chase and crashed into a police cruiser.
Police say a car they tried to pull over for a license plate violation on Tuesday fled, leading to a pursuit, during which the car ran into a State Police vehicle.
The chase ended after police placed spiked strips near New Wilmington, flattening two of the car’s tires.
The suspect, 37-year-old Corey Hennigan of Rock Creek, Ohio, was arraigned on ten charges including assault, recklessly endangering a person, fleeing police, and DUI.
