A Grant County man has been sentenced to life in prison after murdering a man because of a dream.

Earlier this year, Paul James, 43, was found guilty of killing an unarmed 51-year-old Barry Kenner in August 2018 on Keefer Lawrenceville Road, about six miles northwest of Corinth.

James blamed Kenner for the death of one of his brothers, who died of a drug overdose and drowned, Grant County Commonwealth’s Attorney Leigh Ann Roberts told news outlets.

James other brother, according to Fox 19, dreamed that Kenner killed his brother, resulting in Paul James planning and executing the murder.

A Grant County jury recommended life in prison for James. A judge upheld the recommendation on Tuesday.
