Holien remaining optimistic about “spin off development” from new ice arena (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–When a new two-sheet ice arena is built along Willow Creek Drive in Watertown, its expected to create a lot of so-called, “spin off development” in the neighborhood.

Mayor Ried Holien was asked about that topic during a recent visit with KWAT News…

It’ll be known as the Lakes of Willow Creek Development.

Some other development possibilities in that area include a convenience store, car wash, a pharmacy and a commercial strip mall.

A groundbreaking date for the new ice arena has yet to be announced.
