The owner of a Marion hibachi restaurant and food truck has brought Japanese food to Bucyrus.

Luky Kauwjono of Pataskala opened Master Hibachi at 1301 E. Mansfield St. earlier this month. The building most recently housed Spazz Dog, and before that, Wrigley Boy's.

The Master Hibachi menu is fairly simple: rice, cabbage and the diner's choice of protein — chicken, sesame chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, filet mignon or lobster. Vegetable and combination options are available.

The menu also includes noodle dishes, appetizers and vegetable side orders.

Take-out orders can be placed at the counter or by calling 419-689-0240. The small eatery has a few counter seats for people who want to dine in.

It's open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Everything is made from scratch, Kauwjono said.

He also owns Van Java Hibachi in Marion, which has a similar menu but a full dining room; and a Master Hibachi food truck, he said.
