Albert Estrada, 73, of Littlefield, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 in Lubbock. He was born May 15, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bartolo Estrada and Angelita Castro Estrada.

Albert married Dominga Martinez on March 9, 1968 in Littlefield, Texas. He worked hard for many years on the farm, and then later he worked at B&C Pump & American Cotton Growers. Softball was his life and spent countless hours playing, coaching and watching games.People knew him as “La Sombra” at the ballpark. He was a kind and generous man who would give you his last dollar if he thought you needed it. He loved his family, especially being a ?Popo? to his grandchildren. He was also called the traveling man by his siblings because he would drive to Bryan, Texas to visit his mom often because he loved her dearly. In summary, he had a big heart and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Dominga Estrada of Littlefield; his mother, Angelita Estrada of Bryan, Texas; three sons, Anthony Estrada and wife, Leann of Lubbock, Jeffery Estrada of Amarillo and Daniel Estrada and wife, Janie of Spring, Texas; two daughters, Kathy Estrada and Crystal Estrada, both of Littlefield; eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; five brothers, David Estrada of Littlefield, Leo Estrada of Amherst, Hector Estrada of Littlefield, Roy Estrada of Bryan, Texas and Henry Estrada, also of Bryan; four sisters, Gloria Salazar of Ft. Worth, Guadalupe Burth of Conroe, Texas, Mary Jane Koite of Bryan, Texas and Lisa Hinojosa of Navasota, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, a grandchild and a great grandchild.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Hector Estrada officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
