CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Two buildings caught on fire at 711 Lincolnway on Tuesday. The call was made to Cheyenne Fire and Rescue at 11:51am, with first responders arriving on scene at 11:57.

A home caught on fire, with one man inside. Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Chief Kopper says the unidentified man was in the shower at the time, and upon exiting the shower realized his house was on fire. He was helped through a window, and escaped without any major injuries. He is being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The fire spread to an auto shop, The Auto Locker, which quickly became engulfed in flames. Chief Kopper says the buildins burned so fast and hot due to the old wood and construction of the aging buildings.

The fire was declared under control at 1:58 pm, after over 2 hours of fighting the flames.

All units were finally cleared out of the area at 8:20pm; all times according to Cheyenne Fire Rescue.

A cause for the fire is yet to be released. We will update you as more information becomes available.
