10th Annual Car Show this weekend

The Akron Old Car Club is back with their annual car show this Saturday, June 25 at Akron City Park.

Main Avenue will be blocked off between 3rd Street and 4th Street for those who bring some form of transportation to be shown.  This show promises to be as big or bigger than ones in the past.  Annette Bowin is going to open the show at 8 a.m. by singing the “National Anthem.”  The show will run until 2 p.m.

This is a non-competitive show, with all proceeds donated locally.  “Lost in the 50’s” will again be providing music for the event.  Cornerstone Coffee will be selling breakfast burritos, and the Lions Club will be cooking up their famous burgers and serving other food items.

There are going to be lots of vendors for everyone’s enjoyment, including a bouncy house, face painting, other games, items to buy, food vendors and many others.  There will be a poker “walk”, starting from the park and walking to other businesses in town.

Be sure and take some time and go to City Park to enjoy looking at old cars, trucks and other forms of transportation, visit the different vendors, enjoy some games and have some great food.  This is promising to be a great show and the sponsors of the show have worked very hard to make it one of the best they have ever held.
