John P. Hurley, 51, of Festus was injured Monday morning, June 20, in an accident on Hwy. 364 east of Harvester in St. Charles County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 11:20 a.m., Hurley was driving a 2005 Sterling L9500 truck east on the highway when the truck malfunctioned, ran off the left side of the road, struck a median and overturned, the report said.

Hurley was moderately injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.

According to the report, Hurley was wearing a seat belt and the truck was extensively damaged.
