Update in missing Ambrosia Wallenfang case after 11-year-old mysteriously vanishes walking towards the zoo
THE family of the 11-year-old girl who went missing after last being seen walking towards a zoo has shared an update.
Wisconsin Rapids police had been searching for Ambrosia Wallenfang who was last seen near a Bread & Butter Gas Station near Gaynor Avenue.
Police, as well as family members of the girl, posted on Facebook claiming she has been found safe.
They initially posted asking for help in finding their daughter.
"She [Wallenfang] ran away this morning and is missing. If you see her please message me," the post reads.
Family members of the young girl said they were calling around to local places.

"Were calling local places to see if she isn't hiding in a public place. If you'd like to just call around," they wrote in the comments section in response to friends and family asking how they can help.
Wallenfang was wearing a black Kane Brown t-shirt and black shorts.
She also had a red and black Rafters hat and a colorful backpack, cops say.
Police say she was heading towards the Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Zoo.
No further information was provided.
They also shared a photo of the girl with her luggage after she was caught on a security camera earlier on Wednesday.
The zoo is located at 1911 Gaynor Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids, just down the street from the gas station.
Both the zoo and gas station are not far from the Wisconsin River.
A statement was posted on the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department's page, along with a photo of the girl, asking for the public's help in finding Wallenfang.
