ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Here’s the Yankees’ lineup vs. the Rays at Tropicana Field on Wednesday night.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Yankees lefty Jordan Montgomery (3-1 with a 2.72 ERA) will face Rays righty Shane Baz (0-1, 5.40 ERA).

LHP Jordan Montgomery will make his 14th start of the season in Wednesday’s series finale at Tampa Bay…the 29-year-old will make the start on regular four days’ rest… last pitched on Friday at Toronto and earned the win after allowing just 2ER in 6.0 innings (3H, 1BB, 5K, 1HR, 1HP)…has allowed 3R-or-fewer in each of his 13 starts this season and 2R-or-fewer in 11 of those starts…has tossed at least 6.0 innings and allowed 2R-or-fewer in a career-high five consecutive starts (since 5/24)… in 2021, went 6-7 with a 3.83 ERA (157.1IP, 150H, 73R/67ER, 51BB, 162K, 19HR) in a career-high 30 starts with the Yankees…also set career highs in innings pitched and strikeouts…missed 13 team games on the COVD-19 injured list from 8/3-17/21…underwent “Tommy John” surgery on 6/7/18 and returned to make two appearances (one start) in September 2019…finished sixth in the AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2017, going 9-7 with a 3.88 ERA (155.1IP, 67ER) in 29 starts…led AL rookies in starts, strikeouts and innings pitched…was selected by the Yankees in the fourth round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of South Carolina.
