Two Wheels, A Motor, And A Six Year Old Phenom

A local La Salian, Sierra Bull, is ready set the world on fire. And she is only six years old. Here area of expertise – motocross.
Sierra has the opportunity to race at the world’s most prestigious event, the Loretta Lynn AMA Amateur Motocross Championship in Tennessee August 1st through the 6th. As you might suspect, this will be an expensive trip. In that light, everyone is invited to come on out to the La Sal Community Center on July 9thfor a lasagna dinner fundraiser to help with these expenses. For further information, contact mama Christine Bull at Secretislandllc@outlook.com or via phone at 985-377-4829.
Being bandied around is also the possibility of a silent auction that night as well. So, if you have items of interest and value that you’d like to donate, do not hesitate to do so.
Might I strongly suggest that we all be very generous in our donations for this extraordinary young gal. Need not be present to donate funds for this cause. Heck, you can just send a check to La Sal 84530 and address it however you want as to identify the recipient. Maybe something like: “La Sal Six Year Old Phenom, 84530”. I bet ya it’ll get where it needs to be.
This young gal is busy continuing her training at San Juan County’s own premium race course, Bull Hollow. We’ll all be rooting for this youngin. For more information on this young lady (and all things La Sal) check out our Facebook page at “La Sal Barter and Trade”.
Let me introduce the new librarian in our book lending closet facility. She is Marsha Sanders. She is new to our area, though she does not actually live in our village but between here and Monticello. She will split her time between La Sal and Monticello Libraries. Our hours will be Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Friday’s from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. And by the way, this Friday, June 24th will be book club at fiveish. We will be discussing “The Rent Collector”. Bring snacks to share. No La Sal event is complete without food!
