Oxford man charged in Furnas County sex trafficking case takes plea deal

BEAVER CITY, Neb. —
An Oxford man charged in connection to the ongoing Furnas County sex trafficking case has taken a plea deal.
According to Furnas County District Court records, Brent Keslar, 40, pled no contest on June 14 to one count of committing negligent child abuse – no injury. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors reduced a charge of first-degree sexual assault to committing negligent child abuse – no injury.
Keslar is scheduled to be sentenced in Furnas County District Court at 9 a.m. Aug. 24.
The offense is alleged to have occurred on July 1, 2019.

An affidavit in the case has been sealed, but a complaint says the case involved a minor between the age of 12 and 16. The victim is the same one involved in the other Furnas County sex trafficking cases.
