Tuesday night the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office that they were investigating a shooting in the Moffat area.
They further stated that the suspect may be on his way to the Salida area.
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Salida Police Department joined forces in an attempt to locate the suspect. At about 11 pm last night a Salida Police Officer located the suspect west of Salida, and he was taken into custody without incident.
The Saguache County Sheriff’s Office will release all other information as this is their investigation.
